Nucs (nucleus) are small hives of bees which include a queen and 4-5 frames of honey and brood. They are housed in a temporary box and will need to be placed in your own bee hive box. We only have a few nucs left for spring 2018. 

Cost for 2018 bee nucs are $175 per box.  Contact us to check availability.

Are you interested in having bee hives on your property but do not want the responsibility of caring for them?  If so, you may want our Mence Farms Beekeeping Concierge Service.  You may even qualify for an agricultural tax exemption if you own more than 5 acres.

With this service, you buy the bee hives from us.  We set them up on your property and take care of them.  At the end of the season we harvest the honey and split it 50/50 with you.
